Thoughts and Things from Tom Asciolla The Appliance Repair Guy

From time to time I want to share some things that I run across in my daily appliance repair service business while visiting with customers. What better way than to join the 21st century ‘Blog – o – Sphere’. LOL.

Here is a great story.

I went to a customer’s house in Bridgewater NJ to repair a  GE refrigerator, when I first entered the house I was hit with a flood of great memories. The house was a replica of my 100 year old, Grandparents house, located in Brooklyn NY,  that I have not seen in 40 years. I told the customer what was going on and together we laughed and traveled down memory lane. I was telling her where the bathroom was and how my grandmother would check the towel for dirt, after I washed my hands, if the towel was dirty, she would make me wash my hands over again, this took a lot of effort on her part because she walked with a walker and it was not easy for her to get around, but she always took the time to make sure she watched over us. Each of the rooms would stir another great memory and another conversation. We don’t realize how much we miss our loved ones and we often neglect stopping and taking the time to sit and reminisce.  It made me feel like I was 10 years old again. This was a great experience I wanted to share.
